Quick Start Guide
Get up and running in 10 minutes — from sign-up to your first screener search.
This guide walks you through the essentials so you can start finding trades right away.
Step 1: Create Your Account
Sign up at tiblio.com using your email address. You'll receive a verification email — click the link to confirm your account.
Step 2: Subscribe to the Trader Plan
After signing in, you'll be prompted to subscribe. The Trader plan gives you full access to all features: the screener, watchlist, trade journal, portfolio analytics, option bots, and alerts.
Step 3: Connect Your Broker (Optional but Recommended)
Connecting your broker unlocks live market quotes, real-time Greeks, and automated trading. Go to Settings > Brokers and choose your provider. You'll authorize via OAuth — Tiblio never sees your broker password.
Supported brokers: Charles Schwab, Tradier, TradeStation, tastytrade, and Alpaca.
If you're not ready to connect a broker, that's fine. The screener works with end-of-day data by default.
Step 4: Explore the Screener
Navigate to Screener in the sidebar. You'll see tabs for different screen types:
- Puts — Cash-secured put candidates ranked by setup score
- Calls — Covered call candidates
- Spreads — Vertical spread setups
- Vol Crush — Volatility crush opportunities around earnings
- Earnings — Upcoming earnings calendar with trade recommendations
- Dividends — Upcoming ex-dividend dates
- Low Beta — Lower-risk stock screening
Start with the Puts tab. The table shows options contracts sorted by setup score, with columns for delta, DTE, premium, edge %, return %, and win rate. Use the delta preset buttons to narrow results by risk level.
Step 5: Build Your Watchlist
Found symbols you like? Head to the Watchlist page and add them. You can track up to 50 symbols with enriched data including:
- Sector, market cap, and P/E ratio
- 52-week range and moving averages
- Historical volatility (HV 30d) and HV rank
- Analyst ratings and price targets
If your broker is connected, you'll see live prices during market hours.
Step 6: Log Your First Trade
When you execute a trade with your broker, record it in the Trade Journal:
- Click Add Trade
- Choose your asset type (stock, option, or spread)
- Fill in the details: symbol, side, quantity, price, strike, expiration
- Save the trade
As you close positions, update them in the journal to track your P&L automatically.
