How to Connect

  1. Go to Settings > Brokers
  2. Click on your broker's card
  3. You'll be redirected to your broker's website to authorize Tiblio
  4. Log in to your broker and approve the connection
  5. You'll be redirected back to Tiblio with the connection active

This uses OAuth, the same secure authorization method used by banking apps. Tiblio never sees or stores your broker password.

What Happens After Connecting

  • Tiblio receives a secure access token from your broker
  • Tokens are stored encrypted in the database
  • Tokens refresh automatically (typically on a 90-day cycle)
  • You can disconnect at any time from the Brokers settings page

Paper Trading

If you want to test Tiblio's automation features without risking real money, connect a TradeStation Sim account. This is a paper trading sandbox that lets you practice with all the same features.

Troubleshooting

"Connection expired" or error notification

Broker tokens occasionally expire or get revoked. To fix this:

  1. Go to Settings > Brokers
  2. Disconnect the broker
  3. Reconnect by going through the OAuth flow again

Broker shows as connected but no live data

  • Make sure the US stock market is open (9:30 AM – 4:00 PM ET, Mon–Fri)
  • Check that Live Mode is enabled on the page you're viewing
  • Some brokers have rate limits — data may take a few seconds to load

Which broker should I choose?

Any of the supported brokers will work. Choose whichever you already have an account with. If you're starting fresh and focused on options selling, tastytrade and Tradier are popular choices in the community.
